Stake vs Winz.io

At a glance

Both are crypto casinos with offshore licences: Stake is licensed by the Curaçao Gaming Authority and Winz.io holds a non-EU offshore licence, so neither offers the protection of the Malta Gaming Authority or the UK Gambling Commission. Stake scores 4.7 out of 5 in our review and Winz.io 4.3.

Where Stake is stronger

Banking is Stake's strongest category: more than 20 supported coins, and crypto withdrawals that typically arrive almost immediately once a request has been approved. Its library of more than 6,000 games comes from over 260 providers and includes 31 provably fair Stake Originals whose results can be checked afterwards. A sportsbook and poker room share the same balance, live chat runs around the clock, and Daily Races, a Weekly Raffle and a VIP programme with rakeback add ongoing value.

Where Winz.io is stronger

Bonus fairness is where Winz.io leads. Its welcome rewards carry no wagering (0x), and you can choose between four welcome offers; Stake's welcome bonus carries 40x wagering on deposit plus bonus and requires Level 2 identity verification. Winz.io also accepts fiat payments alongside more than 12 cryptocurrencies, and its lobby of 6,000+ games includes crash games and jackpots, with WinzUp cashback and a VIP Club.

Who should choose which

Choose Stake if fast crypto payouts, provably fair games and a sportsbook on the same account matter most. Identity checks can come at any time, player reports on withdrawal checks are mixed, and the site is unavailable in many countries.

Choose Winz.io if you want welcome rewards without wagering or the option to pay in fiat as well as crypto. The headline Wheel of Winz reward is a prize draw rather than a guaranteed amount, there is no dedicated app, and identity checks can be triggered before withdrawals.
